Due to the relatively high temperature and humidity in Brunei, it is highly recommended that you bring a mix of comfortable clothing and waterproof attire. However please note that the campus encourages modest attires: please refrain from using sleeve-less shirts and/or shorts, and please ensure that all skirts are at least up to knee-level.

Money Matters

VISA and Mastercard are the most widely accepted credit cards across hotels, restaurants, and the major shopping complexes. Licensed money changers can be found at airport, hotels, and various shopping complexes. The cashing/exchanging of traveller cheques can be done at any major international banks located in the capital. All banks are usually open from 9 am to 4 pm (Monday – Friday), and 9 am to 11 am (Saturday), although some specific branches have much later closing times. Cash withdrawal and/or deposits can be made at any of the Automatic Teller Machines (ATM) found in in shopping malls or bank branches. ATM cards affiliated with International Plus or Cirrus systems are accepted at most ATMs.

Friday Prayer Notice

All retail, food, and beverage outlets and business offices are closed on Friday between 12 – 2 pm to observe the Friday prayer time for muslims.
