A historical day for both Geology Programme and the University dawned on the 9th of September 2015. The first cohort of Geologists, under GenNEXT, graduated from UBD.
The Faculty of Science, UBD has signed a MOU with the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology (SMART) on 16 November 2015, to facilitate academic mobility.
Ako Rajour Tanyi, a Ph.D candidate in Applied Physics investigates an alternative low cost semiconductor material with higher efficiency for solar cell technology, precisely dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs), co-sponsored by Center for Advanced Material and Energy Sciences (CAMES).
Visiting professor, Prof Eran Edirisinghe discussed pertinent aspects related to Enterprise in Research – how research can bridge the gap between academia and the industrial sector through commercialisation.
