This 5-day symposium, held for the first time in Borneo was attended by over 300 participants from 22 countries, focusing on the themes of taxonomy, ecology and conservation.
This one-day symposium, officiated by Yang Mulia Dr. Haji Azman bin Ahmad, Permanent Secretary (Higher Education), Ministry of Education, involved collaborative discussions between researchers from Osaka University, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, Universiti Teknologi Brunei and Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali.
The name of the mineral was officially approved by the International Mineralogical Association in honour of Associate Professor Dr. Basilios Tsikouras from FOS’ Geological Sciences Programme.
The paper, published as part of the Botanic Gardens Conservation International (BGCI) consortium, which includes AP Dr Ferry Slik from the Environmental and Life Sciences Programme, mapped underground network of microbes connecting forest trees around the world.
Edited by Dr. Minhaz Uddin Ahmed, Mohammed Zourob and Eiichi Tamiya, this book is a compilation of recent advances in immunosensors for multiple target analysis using laboratory based or point-of-care set-up.
